I would like to start by saying that Uncle Jimmy was a good man. It is very difficult for me to say good bye. When I was a little girl, I spent a lot of time with Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Cathy. He would hold me in his lap and act like I was a phone book so he could tickle me! Wow to look back on those memories now! Words alone can not express what it all means to me now. Rest In Peace Uncle Jimmy ,I love you.
- Sheila and William Sheffield, Savannah, GA
This is a man who always greeted me with a smile and open arms for big hugs .He was a jolly ole teddy bear that I loved to be around and I m so glad that I m part of his family and I had the privilege of knowin such a great man....R I P uncle Jimmy you will be missed and remembered often!!!! LOVE Teresa Smith Clark .
- Teresa Smith Clark, Alma, GA
I bought a Pac Man game to play in your honor yesterday. You were a second father to me, never judged me and was always there to offer help. You will always have a special place in my heart. I love you and miss you always.
- William Lovell, Los Angeles, CA
For the man who always wanted to know where my 'ugly' children came from. If he didn't ask me that every time he saw me I wouldn't have thought he loved me or them! He always tried to act rough and tough but he was nothing but like Teresa said a big ole teddy bear! Give everyoneespecially MEMA, Uncle Tommy and Aunt Doris a great big kiss and hug for me, that is when you can break away from that poker game long enough! Until we meet again.....
- Tina Seckinger, Clyo, GA
Uncle Jimmy, you will be missed. I know you are in a much better place now.
- JORDAN MOORE, Montgomery, AL
It's funny the first thing that popps to my mind when I think of Uncle Jimmy is 'Hey, fatter than me' He always knew how to get under my skin and that did it every time. Then as soon as I would get upset about it he would laugh even harder. Well one thing I know for sure you are no longer fatter than me. You have your original form back and you are no longer in pain... Please give Uncle Tommy and Aunt Doris a huge hug and kiss for me for we will all be reunited one day. Don't wear yourself out on the poker game in just one day..... Love You Always... Aunt Cathy may he bring you peace in this time of grief...
- Heather Grayson, Savannah, GA
it seems we find ourselves coming back to this same place in life.death is a part of our lives even though it hits and misses our individual lives.i remember the good times we spent together fishing with dad before jimmy got sick and the card games that went into the night. the most unforgetable thing about jimmy was his attitude and smile when you greeted him.i wished i got to spend some time with him before this day came, there so much that matters when you cant change things.when you know somebody especially family everything seems passive and time gets away and i didnt get to say what needed to be said.i will miss jimmy and i hope that GOD will help this family through this loss and also help you personally cathy adapt.jimmy love you unc. we will meet again someday say hey to the family that you join already there.i already know the streets are gold but cant wait to see myself.just wanted to say something since you are healed now can you keep up the mansion til i get there.your hunting and fishing nephew ricky smith and i thank GOD for you.i think if there is anything left to be said and jimmy would quickly say dont wait til you get to heaven to meet GOD go ahead and start a relationship now and you will know how to act when you get there.free gifts are to hard to come by these days.Jesus IS THE ONLY WAY WITHOUT HIM NO MAN CAN INHERIT ETERNAL LIFE !!!!!!!! DO IT NOW SO WE CAN ALL KNOW WHERE WE WILL SPEND ETERNITY to all my family and see yall soon
